About the Role
We're looking for motivated and customer-focused Dental Assistants to join our team in a casual capacity across Monash Health Dental Services.
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality chairside assistance, reception support and administrative services to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of dental care. Working closely with clinicians and the broader dental team, you will contribute to a positive patient experience and support the delivery of safe, high-quality dental services.
As part of our workforce, you will:

Provide high-level chairside assistance to dental clinicians.

Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and instruments for patient care.
-
Perform instrument cleaning, sterilisation and reprocessing in accordance with infection control requirements.
-
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional and courteous manner.
-
Provide reception and appointment booking support.
-
Manage patient enquiries and assist with administrative processes.
-
Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
-
Assist with patient accounts and enquiries where required.
-
Support health promotion activities and community oral health initiatives.
-
Contribute to a safe, welcoming and professional environment for patients and staff.
You'll have the opportunity to:

About You
You are a compassionate, organised and customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a clinical environment and delivering exceptional care and service to patients.
To be successful, you will bring:

Certificate III in Dental Assisting.

Demonstrated high-level dental assisting skills.
-
Sound knowledge of dental infection control and instrument reprocessing procedures.
-
Experience providing chairside dental assistance.
-
Demonstrated experience in dental reception and administrative duties.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Excellent customer service and patient-centred care focus.
-
Sound problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
-
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
-
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
-
Certificate IV in Dental Assisting – Health Promotion.
-
Previous experience within public dental or community health services.
-
Experience supporting oral health promotion activities.
