What you'll be doing
The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing clinical and administrative assistance in all aspects of dentistry within the guidelines set by the Dental Assistants State Award.
The Dental Assistant will promote attendance and assist with the follow-up of individuals and their families in relation to Dental Health programs
About You
You are a qualified Dental Assistant with a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience, bringing the knowledge, skills, and professionalism required to provide high-quality support to dental clinicians across a diverse patient population. You demonstrate a strong ability to assist with a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient, and patient-focused care while maintaining a calm and supportive clinical environment.
Your thorough understanding of contemporary dental infection prevention and control standards enables you to consistently maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical setting. You are committed to adhering to best practice guidelines and organisational policies, contributing to positive patient outcomes and the delivery of high-quality dental services.
You communicate effectively and professionally with patients, colleagues, dental practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Your approachable manner, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build positive working relationships allow you to contribute to a collaborative and respectful workplace culture while supporting patients from diverse backgrounds.
You are motivated to achieve performance objectives and take responsibility for maintaining high standards of work. You demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently in line with service expectations.
As a valued member of the dental team, you work cooperatively with others to achieve common goals and deliver quality patient care. Your ability to adapt to changing priorities, support colleagues, and contribute positively to team outcomes makes you an effective and dependable professional.
You hold a current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence and are willing to travel and work across various locations within the network to support service delivery. In addition, you possess strong computer literacy skills, including experience using electronic patient record systems and a range of office applications, enabling you to manage clinical and administrative responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
